A native of Cincinnati, artist Anne Scheid has made Fresno her home since 1991. She oversaw the drawing program at Fresno City College for more than twenty years, retiring in 2015. Scheid has been a part of several exhibitions at the Fresno Art Museum over the decades, the most recent being her three-part retrospective Body/Land in 2016. Her drawing The Ancient(2005) is included in the current exhibition Here She Stands: Women Artists from the Permanent Collection.
