Fresno artist Evany Zirul received her BA in Art History from Mills College in 1968 and her MFA from the University of Kansas in Sculpture and Design in 1971.

Zirul has several artistic inspirations including painter Thomas Hart Benton, figure drawings of Heinrich Klay and Honore Daumier and the bronze sculptures of Aristide Maillol. Through extensive studies of of these artists, Zirul's drawings and sculptures continue to develop and venture into many unforeseen, creative directions.
