Gouache Painting Workshop

 Join painter Sanking Saephan for ongoing Gouache Painting Workshops for Adults and Teens, ages 15 and up

Have you been admiring the fun and colorful art of Grace Lin in the Once Upon a Book exhibition at the Museum? Grace paints with gouache! And it turns out our FAM art instructor Sanking Saephan uses gouache as his medium of choice. So now is the time to come and experiment and learn more about gouache with someone who loves the medium!

No experience necessary to participate in this workshop.

Instructor will provide optional still life or you can bring your own props or a photo to work from.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Sanking Saephan is a talented artist from Fresno California who works in a variety of genres, figurative work being a favorite. He has a B.A. in Studio Art from Fresno State. He has been an art instructor at the Museum since 2019. His online classes during COVID were highly praised by all his students. His own work explores his identity as a second generation Asian-American and how both facets, Asian and American, form his perspective on the world. He primarily works with gouache and drawing mediums as well as creating illustrations digitally on a computer. He loves sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge about art and encouraging students to create and develop new skills with his favorite medium.

Per Session Fee: FAM Members: $30 | Non-Museum Members: $35
