Block Printmaking Workshop

Saturday, March 15, 2025 | 9 am to 12:30 pm

Join printmaker Linda Zupcic to create your own one or two-color block print

No experience necessary to participate in this workshop. Rather than wood, which is more difficult and takes longer to carve, students will be working with rubber blocks to get an effect similar to some of the prints in the exhibition. Several optional designs will be suggested, or you can bring your own ideas for a 4” x 6” block. Click here for materials list.

Workshop suitable for ages 15 to adult. Workshop limited to 15 students so register early in The Museum Store or online using the QR code below.

Pre-registration is required. Class size is limited. No refunds, although you may give your seat to another student if you can’t attend. If cancelled by FAM, a refund will be issued.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Linda Zupcic has been an art instructor at FAM for over ten years. She is a graduate of Mills College in Oakland with a degree in studio art and graphic design. She is currently a member of Fig Tree Gallery and has a studio at her home. Linda is an accomplished printmaker, which has been the main focus of her artwork for a number of years. She lives in the nearby foothills and is inspired by the 5,000-acre nature preserve, which is her backyard. The hills, oaks, rocks, and creatures that are part of that natural environment inspire her and often find their way into her artwork.

This workshop inspired by the Harmon & Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper, underwritten by the City of Fresno Measure P Expanded Access to Arts and Culture Fund administered by the Fresno Arts Council with additional support from Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Ryle.
